Hi, I'm Cecilia McKay

I was born and raised in Mexico city alongside its rich culture and colors where I was inspired to study philosophy and art history. Although I thought these passions of mine were what would consist of my career, I found a growing interest in leadership. I trained with the Oxford Leadership academy in India, Oxford and Mexico in Self-Management Leadership. This caused me to leave the art world despite my affinity to it, and after my Master’s degree I happily began to pursue coaching which would be a turning point in my purpose and journey.
I began this journey in 2004 when Development Dimensions International hired me as an adjunct in “Training and Development,” and over the years I have progressed to both coaching and assisting executives and senior management to find and further their missions in both their personal and private lives.
Through my position at DDI I have had the opportunity to work with several Fortune 500 companies and a vast array of companies including AB InBev, AT&T and Walmart. Coaching Directors, Sr. Directors, Vice Presidents and Sr Vice Presidents; encompassing local, national, and multinational corporations.
I have taken many courses in Positive Psychology, Self-management Leadership, Executive Coaching and acquired the PCC level certification with the International Coaching Federation; the highest professional coaching credential, certifications of assessment and coaching tools at Development Dimensions International; including 360, Hogans, Executive Assessments, etc. In 2019 I began my own coaching practice and have been helping people individually since then.
Through coaching and feedback, I have helped strengthen “leaders of leaders” which have included dynamic workforces with over 600+ employees globally, lead strategists and decision makers of organizations worth billions of dollars, and a multitude of organizations. By assessing their leaders, I am able to challenge them through a transition period that is facilitated towards forward-facing strategic leadership.
By focusing on goal setting and providing opportunities for them to strengthen their capacity, I am able to guide them to answers they already hold within themselves. My job as a coach is to be present with the spirit of service so that I may encourage this same sentiment in the leaders that I advize. Through encouragement and discipline, I hold people accountable by both challenging and supporting them to focus on goals which are aimed to help them tap into their full potential.
I coach for the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, so that they too can make a difference in the lives of others. If they are able to value who they are, they become more fulfilled and committed to grow.
